Safe Driver Score

The Safe Driver Score

What is the Score?

The Safe Driver Score (SDS) is a single metric that reflects actual in-vehicle safe driving practices. It provides a real-time, highly relevant, individualized score to characterize driver risk profiles. The SDS is useful for drivers, parents, insurance companies and sponsors. It has the potential to become the industry standard metric for communicating safe driving practices: the “FICO of safe driving.”

How is it Calculated?

SDS is based on in-vehicle behaviors such as speed, acceleration, and compliance with traffic regulations, interlaced with contextual factors such as weather, terrain, time of day, and the mood of the driver.
